Office Timing
The council office is open from 10 am to 5pm, barring Sundays, 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month and State Govt. Holidays.
About the Assam Veterinary Council
The Assam Veterinary Council is a statutory body established in 1982 under the Assam Veterinary Council Act, 1979. The Council regulates the veterinary profession in the State in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984. It maintains the State Veterinary Practitioners' Register, promotes professional ethics and standards, oversees registration-related matters, and advises the Government of Assam on issues concerning veterinary practice, veterinary education, and animal husbandry, contributing to the advancement of animal health and welfare in the state.

The Assam Veterinary Council has its own G+2 RCC building at the Veterinary Directorate campus at Chenikuthi, Guwahati-781003. The Council office and conference hall at the Ground Floor, the first floor and second floor are the Guest House to provide in house facility to a batch of 20 (twenty) nos. of trainees at a time including a VIP suit, Kitchen & dining etc. Other than trainees the veterinarians of the state and outside state are also allowed to accommodate at a minimum rental charges.
